Introduction

International Conference on Aerospace Science & Engineering (ICASE) is a regular biennial event to provide an International forum in which scientists, researchers, engineers, academicians, industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and students from all over the world, get a chance to interact and discuss the latest themes and trends related to Aerospace Science & Engineering. It provides a platform to share experiences, foster collaborations across industry and academia, and to evaluate emerging technologies and developments across the globe in the fields of space science, technology and application. ICASE facilitates in establishing dialogues leading to long-lasting technical cooperation among the scientists and engineers of the developing and developed countries.

Our Legacy

The legacy of IST’s International Conference on Aerospace Science and Engineering (ICASE), launched in 2009, is a testament to its leadership in aerospace research. Over its seven editions, ICASE provided a global platform for cutting-edge research, featuring technical presentations, collaborative opportunities, and publications in prestigious outlets like IEEE. Today, this legacy continues under ICAST, furthering IST’s commitment to advancing aerospace and space technologies.

ICASE 2021

The Seventh International Conference on Aerospace Science and Engineering (ICASE 2021) was held from December 14–16 at IST Islamabad, organized by the National Center of GIS and Space Applications in collaboration with BRAIA. Centered on the theme “Emerging Technologies in Aerospace Engineering and Geographic Information Science,” the hybrid event featured 60 sessions and 50+ invited speakers from 20 countries. It covered diverse fields including aerospace, satellite technology, GIS, ICT, PNT, climate science, and space law, and featured technical talks, exhibitions, panel discussions, stargazing, and youth forums—strengthening ICASE’s position as a leading platform for global collaboration and innovation.
